New NETSCC director appointedNews release from NETSCC, Public Health Research NETSCC has appointed Dr Matt Westmore as Director with responsibility for the management of three of its research programmes: Health Services Research (HSR), Public Health Research (PHR) and Service Delivery and Organisation (SDO). As well as leading the directorate, Matt will become a NETSCC board member with joint responsibility for the delivery of NETSCC as a whole and to ensure that NETSCC continues to support the commissioning and delivery of health research that will be of significant benefit to the UK. Matt has worked at NETSCC for two years, most recently as an Assistant Director for the Health Technology Assessment programme (HTA). Before this, he was the Assistant Director of the Strategy and Development directorate when he joined us in 2009.

The Public Health Research Programme is managed by the NIHR Evaluation, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC). NETSCC is part of the University of Southampton.The Public Health Research Programme is funded by the NIHR, with contributions from the CSO in Scotland, NISCHR in Wales and HSC R&D Division, Public Health Agency in Northern Ireland. |
