Local Sustainable Transport Fund:

The NIHR PHR programme is interested in receiving high-quality outline applications to the researcher-led workstream to evaluate health-related outcomes of initiatives funded by the Local Sustainable Transport Fund.

Evidence Synthesis:

The NIHR PHR programme wishes to commission a number of evidence synthesis research projects under its researcher-led workstream in order to enhance the evidence base required to support the new public health system.

We strongly advise that applicants read the guidance notes in full before filling out the proposal form to ensure that it meets the expected criteria.

Assessment dates

Proposals received by 1pm on the 2 April 2012 and deemed within remit will be assessed for their importance to public health by the Programme Advisory Board in May 2012. Applicants will be advised of the status of their applications after this meeting.

Shortlisted proposals from this round will be considered by the Research Funding Board in June 2012 who will assess for scientific quality, feasibility and value for money. Decisions from the Research Funding Board will be communicated to applicants by early July 2012. Following this meeting successful outline proposal applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal. Applicants have eight weeks to complete a full application form for it to be considered at the next Research Funding Board.
