How to apply

We strongly advise that applicants read the guidance notes in full before filling out the outline form to ensure that proposals meet the expected criteria.

The cut-off date to submit outline proposals in response to these three commissioning briefs is 14 April 2010 by 1pm.

 

Requirements to support research in the NHS: this is a copy of the letter sent to all NHS trusts and SHAs regarding recent policy statements and operational requirements for research in the NHS. Applicants are recommended to view this information if their projects include any NHS components or partners.

Assessment dates

Outline proposals received by the cut-off date of 1pm on 14 April 2010 and deemed within remit will be assessed for their scientific quality at the June 2010 Research Funding Board who will assess for scientific quality, feasibility and value for money. Decisions from the Research Funding Board will be communicated to applicants by mid July 2010. Following this meeting successful outline proposal applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal. Applicants have eight weeks to complete a full application form for it to be considered at the October 2010 Research Funding Board.

NETSCC is part of the University of Southampton.The NIHR Public Health Research programme is funded by the NIHR, with contributions from the CSO in Scotland, WORD in Wales and HSC R&D, Public Health Agency, Northern Ireland.
